Jailbreaking

Step 1) - The first thing you are going to need to do is download Sn0wbreeze to your desktop.
Download Sn0wbreeze here

Step 2) - Once Sn0wbreeze is downloaded to your desktop you are going to need to extract it.

Right click on the sn0wbreeze-2.2-final.zip file and extract it to your desktop.

Step 3) - Once Sn0wBreeze is extracted to your desktop navigate to the Sn0wbreeze folder. When you see the Sn0wbreeze.exe right click on it and then go into the properties option. Once aproperties window comes up, click the compatibility tap and select the option run this program in compatibility mode for windows xp service pack 2. Once this option is selected click the apply button and then click ok. This will ensure that the program will not run into any errors when running on windows vista or windows 7.

Step 4) - Now that everything is setup with sn0wbreeze make sure iTunes is closed and click theSn0wbreeze.exe to launch the program (you will need to click yes to run as administrator). Once the program is up and running click ok to the warning message/the credits message and then click the blue arrow to continue.

When you get to the next screen you will need to select your IPSW firmware file.

If you need to download your iDevice’s firmware file you can click this link here. Alternatively you can see if you already have downloaded your firmware file by navigating to the specific directories (where Apple keeps your firmware files) below…

Windows Vista: C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

Windows Xp: C:\Documents and Settings\<User>\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

Once you select your firmware file and Sn0wbreeze finishes identifying it, you should have a screen similar to the screenshot below…

Step 5) - Once you click the next arrow, then next screen you come to should prompt you to select either Simple Mode or Advanced Mode.

Simple Mode – This mode is exactly as it sounds… simple. In this mode you simply select your current firmware and then skip right ahead to the firmware creation process. When using this mode you skip the advanced customization options presents in Expert Mode. Only use this mode if you are not interested in customizing your jailbrake.

Expert Mode – This mode is also exactly how it sounds. When you click expert mode you will be brought to a page where you are presented with many options that will customize almost every aspect of your jailbreak. Through this mode you are able to choose pre-installed applications, change your boot logos, choose your allocated partition amount and also have the option of preserving your iPhone’s baseband. Select this mode if you are comfortable customizing yourjailbreak or are jailbreaking an iPhone.

Note: Whichever mode you choose is up to you. I will go through both modes in the steps below starting with simple mode. However if you want to preserve your iDevice’s baseband you will need to select Expert mode.

Simple Mode

Step 1) - If you select the simple mode, you really are in for a simple ride. As soon as you click on the simple button and then click the next button Sn0wbreeze will automatically begin creating your custom IPSW firmware file.

In this new version of Sn0wbreeze you can even play PacMan while Sn0wbreeze is busy creating your custom IPSW file. Once Sn0wbreeze has finished creating your custom IPSW file you can go ahead and follow the DFU mode instructions section (this is located after the Expert mode section).
Expert Mode

Step 1) - If you chose expert mode to jailbreak your iPod Touch or iPhone you will have many more options on the customization of your jailbreak. Select the expert mode button and then click the blue arrow to continue.

Step 2) - When you have selected your firmware file click the blue arrow button to continue to the next screen. When you get to the next screen this is where the fun begins…

Click the big General button and then the blue arrow to start the customization process.

Root Partition Size: In the first screen you have the option of selecting your root partition size. This is the space that will be allocated to jailbroken apps, themes etc.. A good size is about 1gb but if you have a larger storage space then you can go as high as you wish.

Nor Only IPSW : Another option you have is a nor only ipsw. Only select this if you just wish to change your boot logo. Selecting this option will only add custom boot logos to your iDevice, and will not erase any data.

Springboard Modifications: These options are only for iDevice’s which have iOS 4 restrictions such as the iPod Touch 2G.

The next option you have is if you want to have any pre installed applications. Click the download packages tap and click on a source you wish to browse through to find applications. When you find this source click the refresh button and select any applications or themes you wish to have pre-installed and click the download button.

When you have downloaded all the packages you are interested in go back into the select packages tab and check the applications/themes you wish to have pre installed. Once you are happy click the blue arrow button to continue…

Note: As I was not jailbreaking an iPhone, my customizing ended here. If you are currently jailbreaking an iPhone then you will need to go through the unlock tab and select the options you require. Don’t worry they are self explanatory.

Step 3) - Once you are done editing your firmware file you will need to click the build ipws button and the next screen you should be on is the actual firmware creation screen.This process can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes so be patient. Once you firmware file has been created it will be located on your desktop.

A new feature to Sn0wbreeze V2.2 is the ability to play pacman while Sn0wbreeze is creating your custom IPSW tool! Once Sn0wbreeze has finished creating your custom IPSW file you can go ahead and follow the DFU mode instructions section (located below).

DFU Mode Instructions

Once you get to the point where you need to put your iDevice into DFU mode, you will need to simply follow Sn0wbreeze’s real-time instructions. Once you do this, your iDevice will be in DFU mode and you can restore your custom IPSW firmware file.

After following Sn0wbreeze’s real-time instructions EXACTLY as shown, iTunes should launch and you will be at a screen that looks something like the screenshot below…

Once iTunes launches you are prompt by Sn0wbreeze saying iReb is successfully running, you can go back to iTunes and SHIFT click the restore button. Once you have done this you can now select your custom IPSW firmware file to restore to your iDevice.

After selecting your custom IPSW firmware file, your iDevice should now start to restore Once your iDevice finishes restoring you will have a successfully jailbroken device

Bruteforce with Brutus.

Note: Brutus is simple,but kind of sucks. I would use Hydra,but as it is a command line program its harder to use.

How to Brute Force a website which contains normal HTTP Login Form.
That means it has an entry for a username and a password. We will do so by using a program called Brutus. In order to do so, you must find a website that 1) Contains only Username and Password fields, and 2) Allows unlimited attempts at guessing a specific password. In order to test if the website allows this, try multiple incorrect passwords for a random username and see what response you get after x amount of attempts. If you get no redirect page and you are not limited in the number of login attempt, chances are the website is vulnerable to Brute Forcing.

An introduction to BruteForce:
Put simply,making a program test a list of passwords to a list of usernames and hopefully you will have matched a username and password combination that is correct. There are many disadvantages in using this method to hack, such as time (you need to test thousands if not millions of combination) and most websites now have features that limit the number of incorrect guesses at one’s password, or make a human verification field mandatory when logging in.

What You Will Need:

1) Download Brutus: http://www.hoobie.net/brutus/

2) Download Password List: http://area51archives.com/index.php?title=Ultimate_Password_List

3) You will need a proxy or VPN that changes your IP address for all programs, not just your web browser. I would suggest using CyberGhost VPN or Hot Spot Shield. They are pretty easy to use and are well documented so if you need help using them, please search or go to their websites. Also you can check my post on Staying Anonymous Online.

Step One: Start Brutus:

Leave the target field alone for the moment and where it says type choose HTTP (Form) You will see that below it a new option has appeared called “Modify Sequence.” Press this.

Step Two: Specifying Your Target:

Find the URL that links directly to the login page of the website. For example: http://www.website.com/login; Insert that URL into the Target Field.

On the left hand side it states “Field Name” that gives options such as username and password. Select the Username under the Field Name list and press the button that says Username. Do the same with the password and hit password. This lets Brutus now where to input its list. Press accept and it will return you to your previous screen. If, when you were testing you got a message that says, “Incorrect login” or something similar, copy it and paste it under the HTML Response boxes. Press Okay when your complete.

Step Three: Setting the Word lists

The Next step is fairly simple. Go to the option that says “User File” and select the text file that contains the usernames you would like to Brute Force. The beside under “Pass File” specify your password list. Before you hit Start make sure all the optional variables are set to your satisfaction (the default are usually fine); start your proxy, make sure your IP address is masked than hit Start. Allow the program to run for as long as you want or until it has completed and hopefully you have gotten some passwords!

Update:

Updated HTML posts because one was kinda of short

JavaScript

Sorry it's been a while since i've posted last , had alot of work to do and with the day of #opsony here i have had little time to write.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before learning JavaScript you should have basic knowledge of HTML and CSS . I guess you could learn this first but it would be really hard.
Note: Java and JavaScript are two totally different languages

A few basic facts on JavaScript

  • JavaScript was designed to add interactivity to HTML pages
  • JavaScript is a scripting language
  • A scripting language is a lightweight programming language
  • JavaScript is usually embedded directly into HTML pages
  • JavaScript is an interpreted language (means that scripts execute without preliminary compilation)

What Can JavaScript do?

JavaScript gives HTML designers a programming tool - HTML authors are normally not programmers, but JavaScript is a scripting language with a very simple syntax! Almost anyone can put small "snippets" of code into their HTML pages

JavaScript can react to events - A JavaScript can be set to execute when something happens, like when a page has finished loading or when a user clicks on an HTML element

JavaScript can read and write HTML elements - A JavaScript can read and change the content of an HTML element

JavaScript can be used to validate data - A JavaScript can be used to validate form data before it is submitted to a server. This saves the server from extra processing

JavaScript can be used to detect the visitor's browser - A JavaScript can be used to detect the visitor's browser, and - depending on the browser - load another page specifically designed for that browser

JavaScript can be used to create cookies - A JavaScript can be used to store and retrieve information on the visitor's computer

Writing to The HTML Document

The example below writes a <p> element with current date information to the HTML document:

<html>
<body>

<h1>My First Web Page</h1>

<script type="text/javascript">
document.write("<p>" + Date() + "</p>");
</script>

</body>
</html>

Changing HTML Elements

The example below writes the current date into an existing <p> element:

<html>
<body>

<h1>My First Web Page</h1>

<p id="demo"></p>

<script type="text/javascript">
document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML=Date();
</script>

</body>
</html>

Examples Explained

To insert a JavaScript into an HTML page, use the <script> tag.
Inside the <script> tag use the type attribute to define the scripting language.
The <script> and </script> tells where the JavaScript starts and ends:

<html>
<body>
<h1>My First Web Page</h1>

<p id="demo">This is a paragraph.</p>

<script type="text/javascript">
... some JavaScript code ...
</script>

</body>
</html>

The lines between the <script> and </script> contain the JavaScript and are executed by the browser.
In this case the browser will replace the content of the HTML element with id="demo", with the current date:

<html>
<body>
<h1>My First Web Page</h1>

<p id="demo">This is a paragraph.</p>

<script type="text/javascript">
document.getElementById("demo").innerHTML=Date();
</script>

</body>
</html>

SOPA&PIPA

Overview
The Protect IP Act (PIPA) is a U.S. Senate bill introduced by Senator Patrick Leahy. Along with its House counterpart Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), the bills are designed to provide the government and copyright holders with powers to block access to “rogue websites dedicated to infringing or counterfeit goods,” especially those registered outside the United States. Since its introduction on May 11th, 2011, the proposed bill has been met by opposition from various digital rights activists and bloggers for its encroachment in online activities protected under the first amendment of free speech. Congressional hearings for both bills began on November 16th.
Background
If passed by Congress, Protect IP Act would allow the government to curb public access to websites that have “no significant use” other than infringing copyright, enabling or facilitating copyright infringement. It would also make unauthorized media streaming an act of felony and hold the web publishers and hosting services responsible for curbing their users from posting copyright-infringed content.

In addition, Stop Online Piracy Act would effectively rid of the safe harbor provisions in the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, which grants Web sites immunity from prosecution as long as they act in good faith to take down infringing content upon notice. Under strict interpretation, a wide range of online communities and social networks including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook would have to censor users or get shut down and ordinary users could be imprisoned for five years or posting any copyrighted work.
Developments
Online Reaction
The legislation has been opposed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), Yahoo!, eBay, American Express, Google, Reporters Without Borders, and Human Rights Watch. EFF’s blog post titled “What’s On the Blacklist?” listed media-sharing services Vimeo and Flickr and e-commerce community Etsy as websites that could be put at risk under the Stop Online Piracy Act. Fight for the Future published a 3-minute infographic video explaining the basics of the bills and their impact on everyday activities of online interactions.

A number of online entrepreneurs like Reid Hoffman of Linkedin, Twitter co-founder Evan Williams and Foursquare co-founder Dennis Crowley signed a letter to Congress expressing their opposition to the legislation.
October 19th: Free Bieber Campaign
On October 19th, 2011, “Free Bieber” campaign was launched by Fight for the Future. According to the satire website FreeBieber.org, Justin Bieber could be technically sent to prison for the videos he had uploaded to YouTube prior to stardom.

A new bill in Congress makes posting a video containing any copyrighted work a felony-- with up to 5 years in prison. But wait… didn’t Justin Bieber get famous by posting YouTube videos of himself singing copyrighted R&B songs? Yep. If this bill passes, he could get 5 years in jail.
The campaign was subsequently covered on BoingBoing, Torrent Freak, and TechDirt the same day.

November 16th: American Censorship Day
In a joint effort to raise the awareness of the congressional hearings scheduled to begin on November 16th, a day of online protest dubbed “American Censorship Day” was launched on the same day at 12:00 a.m. (ET). Organized by EFF and a network of supporter groups including Free Software Foundation, Fight For the Future and Creative Commons, the campaign asked its participants to place a censorship badge over the site’s logo in display of solidarity against the legislation of the bill.
Participation
Some of the notable partipants in the American Censorship Day include a wide range of online communities like Wikimedia, Reddit, Mozilla, BoingBoing and Creative Commons among others. On Reddit, an official announcement titled “Stop the ridiculous PROTECT IP Act right now. Sign this petition for the love of the internet” was posted on the frontpage.
The infographic chart illustrating the turnout of American Censorship Day was published by Fight for the Future on November 17th:

Telephone Campaign on Tumblr
Microblogging service Tumblr also participated in the protest by blacking out the content displayed in user dashboard and provided a link for its users to enter their contact information and contact their local U.S. Representatives. According to a tweet posted from Tumblr’s Twitter account, users were averaging 3.6 calls per second during its peak.
Hashtags #blacklist#SOPA and #dontbreaktheinternet have become closely associated with Protect IP Act andSOPA-related discussions on Twitter.
U.S. Representatives Respond
California Representative Zoe Lofgren (D) participated in the American Censorship Day by displaying the badge on her homepage. Democratic House leader Nancy Pelosi also revealed her stance against the bill via Twitter, in responding to a tweeter who asked: “Where do you stand on internet censoring and #SOPA?” Pelosi’s tweet was also mentioned by California Republican congressman Darrel Issa, who suggested in an interview with The Hill newspaper there’s little hope for the legislation of Stop Online Piracy Act.

Related Protests
Wikipedia’s Strike Proposal
On December 10th, 2011, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales asked the readers’ opinions on a potential blackout of the website in protest of the Stop Online Piracy Act. In an impromptu straw poll launched on his user talk page[13], Wales announced that while there are no immidiate plans to blank out Wikipedia, he noted the Italian Wikipedia blank out in early October 2011 as a precedent, in which the parliament backed down on the privacy law after Italian Wikipedia took all of its pages offline.

I Work For the Internet
On December 11th, 2011, a single topic blog titled “I Work for the Internet”[10] was launched to compile a long list of user-submitted webcam portraits in display of solidarity against the legislation of SOPA. Launched by one of the central anti-SOPA protest organizers Fight for the Future, the photo project has drawn participation from a number of notable people in online media, including TechCrunch editor Erick Schonfeld, Tumblr co-founder David Karp and designer Peter Vidani, early Facebook developer Dave Morin, Vimeo’s co-founder Zach Klein and Texts from Last Night Co-founder Lauren Leto among others.

The news of the site was covered by The Atlantic in an article titled “A Web Celebrity-Spotting Guide to the Latest Anti-SOPA Site.” Gawker also covered the news with a hint of criticism towards its vanity-driven nature.
December 15th: Markup Hearing of SOPA
On December 15th, The House of Representatives Judiciary Committee held a meeting for markup of the Stop Online Piracy Act, which was met by much divided opinions on the bill. According to Politico, the markup debate didn’t break down by partisanship, but a number of Democrat and Republican Representatives including Zoe Lofgren (D-California) and Dan Lungren (R-California) argued that the bill was being processed in a rush in the absence of input from technical experts regarding the legal impact of SOPA on the structure of the Internet.
On the other side of the line, Bob Goodlatte (R-Virginia), John Conyers (D-Michigan) and Howard Berman (D-California) argued for an immediate measure to protect copyright holders from sites that profit from offering illicit and illegally copied content.
“All we’re trying to do here is stop online piracy. Since when did opposition get so fierce against this? What could be behind the motives of people or organizations that don’t think stopping online piracy is something that we need to deal with?” Conyers said.
Congressional Tweet Fiasco
Meanwhile, the all-day marathon hearing of the bill abruptly came to a temporary halt when Representative Shiela Jackson Lee (D-Texas) raised issue with a tweet that was posted by congressman Steve King (R-Iowa). According to CNET[17], Representative King wrote via his Twitter account:

Upon discovering the mention of her name in King’s tweet shortly after, Jackson Lee responded to the tweet on congressional record that it is inappropriate “to have a member of the Judiciary committee be so offensive.” When the House Judiciary Committee’s senior member Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wisconsin) suggested that the clerk expunge the word “offensive” from the official transcript, Jackson Lee repeatedly refused to agree before finally permitting the replacement of the word “offensive” with “impolitic and unkind.”
Alternative Proposal: OPEN Act
An alternative version of the bill known as the Online Protection & Enforcement of Digital Trade Act (OPEN Act)[17] was proposed by a bipartisan group of congressman during the hearing, which would utilize the International Trade Commission (ITC) as the authoritative venue for enforcement of copyrights and trademarks against foreign-based rogue websites that are outside of U.S. jurisdiction. Sponsored by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) and Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon), the alternative bill as explained on KeepTheWebOpen.com states:
“The OPEN Act is built to protect creative ownership in America while securing the open, accessible Internet you deserve. We’re going further by actually opening up the legislative process with a new tool named Madison.”

December 22nd: GoDaddy Boycott Campaign
On October 31st, 2011, TechDirt[18] and the Domains[19] both published articles stating that Christine Jones, the general counsel and corporate secretary from GoDaddy.com submitted a piece to Politico stating the company’s support of SOPA, then called the E-Parasite Bill. TechDirt countered the statement by posting screen shots of how GoDaddy itself encourages people to violate SOPA by suggesting domain names that would infringe on other established sites’ copyright and name trademarks. The day before the bill was set to be heard in the House ON November 15th, GoDaddy filed an official statement[20] breaking down exactly why they were supporting SOPA, claiming that “there is no question that we need these added tools to counteract illegal foreign sites that are falling outside the jurisdiction of U.S. law enforcement.”

Online Reaction
This information was relatively unknown until December 22nd when Redditor selfprodigy[21] posted about GoDaddy’s statement to the Politics subreddit, suggesting GoDaddy users move their domains on December 29th to protest the company’s support of the bill. In response, CEO of Zferral Jeff Epstein provided a step-by-step guide on how to transfer domains from GoDaddy to another host and Fight For the Future launched a special pledge page for the would-be boycotters.
A number of major Internet companies vowed to drop their GoDaddy accounts including Wikipedia and the image hosting service Imgur. Additionally, Cheezburger’s CEO Ben Huh stated that he would move the company’s 1000+ domain names off of GoDaddy if they did not change their stance on the bill. The news quickly spread to The Escapist, Ars Technica, Gizmodo and the International Business Times.

December 23rd: GoDaddy Withdraws Support
Following the news coverage of boycott campaign on December 23rd, GoDaddy released a statement by CEO Warren Adelman announcing that they will no longer be supporting the act and pulled down a post outlining the reasons they had previously supported it:
“Fighting online piracy is of the utmost importance, which is why Go Daddy has been working to help craft revisions to this legislation – but we can clearly do better… It’s very important that all Internet stakeholders work together on this. Getting it right is worth the wait. Go Daddy will support it when and if the Internet community supports it."
December 29th: Boycott Turnout
Despite GoDaddy’s decision to withdraw its support for SOPA, Internet users reportedly waged the boycott campaign with an estimated figure of over 37,000 domains dropped within the first 48 hours and over 70,000 domains by December 29th, including the internet culture blog BuzzFeed.
While the impact of the campaign on the world’s largest domain registrar service remains unclear, many news publications and blogs reported on the phenomenon as the Internet users’ punishing GoDaddy for their “flip-flop” stance on the bill.
December 29th: Nuclear Option Rumors
On December 29th, CNET published an article about a possible “nuclear option” that would have other popular online websites like eBay, Google, Facebook and Twitter join Wikipedia in a simultaneous blackout urging users to contact their congressional representatives to stop SOPA and Protect IP. NetCoalition leader Markham Erickson was questioned about the blackout rumors and revealed that “there have been some serious discussions about that.” The following day, articles appeared on Fox News, the International Business Times and the tech blog Geekosystem examining how successful the proposed tactic would be.
The New York Tech Meetup, an organization of nearly 20,000 people who work in the technology industry throughout New York City, is planning a protest on January 17th outside the Manhattan offices of New York Senators Charles E. Schumer and Kirsten E. Gillibrand, who co-sponsored some of the proposed legislation.
January 4th: Chaos Communication Congress
On January 4th, a team of hacktivists gathered at the Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin, Germany and announced a plan to launch satellites into orbit to put the Internet beyond the reach of censors. The story was covered by the BBC[35] and questioned hacker activist Nick Farr about the purpose of the satellites:

“The first goal is an uncensorable internet in space. Let’s take the internet out of the control of terrestrial entities,” Mr Farr said. He cited the proposed Stop Online Piracy Act (Sopa) in the United States as an example of the kind of threat facing online freedom. If passed, the act would allow for some sites to be blocked on copyright grounds.
The Hackspace Global Grid[36] hacker hobbyist group was subsequently formed to “understand, build and make available satellite based communication for the hackerspace community and all of mankind.”
January 10th: #BlackoutSOPA
On January 10th, 2012, SF Gate published an article about the #BlackoutSOPA Twitter campaign in which Twitter users changed their profile images to have black banners captioned with “STOP SOPA” in protest of the bill. Users had been using the BlackoutSOPA web application that automatically edits the Twitter profile picture after being given access to the account.

The same day, Reddit announced on their official blog that they would be blacking out Reddit on January 18th from 8am to 8pm EST, the same day Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian would be testifying before congress.
Instead of the normal glorious, user-curated chaos of reddit, we will be displaying a simple message about how the PIPA/SOPA legislation would shut down sites like reddit, link to resources to learn more, and suggest ways to take action. We will showcase the live video stream of the House hearing where Internet entrepreneurs and technical experts (including Reddit co-founder Alexis “kn0thing” Ohanian) will be testifying.
On January 16th, Wikimedia founder Jimmy Wales announced that the English-language Wikipedia will be participating in a 24-hour blackout on January 18th, joining the pledges of several other Internet companies like Reddit, Cheezburger, Wordpress, Zynga and Mozilla among others. The 24 hour shutdown of Wikipedia will be replaced with instructions on how to reach out to your local US members of congress:

January 12th: SOPA Sponsor’s Copyright Infringement
On January 12th, Vice Magazine published an article titled “The Author of SOPA is a Copyright Violator,” pointing out that Congressman Lamar Smith had used a nature photograph as a background image for his website without the artist’s permission, as shown in an archived screenshot from July 24th, 2011. Upon tracking down the photographer DJ Shulte who took the photograph, it was discovered that no request for permission was given.

On the following day of the post, Vice launched an open campaign known as “Shop a SOPA” Copyright Hypocrite Hunt in order to catch other copyright infringement associated with supporters of the bill.
January 14th: White House Opposes DNS Block
In an official blog post on January 14th, White House cyber-security czar Howard Schmidt and two other officials responded to the official anti-SOPA petitions, which has received over 100,000 signatures combined, by stating that the administration will not support legislation that reduces freedom of expression and increases cybersecurity risks, particularly measures that will involve manipulation of the Domain Name System (DNS) to block services.
Any effort to combat online piracy must guard against the risk of online censorship of lawful activity and must not inhibit innovation by our dynamic businesses large and small.
The statement by White House officials quickly spread through the newsvine and blogosphere. Following the official statement, Newscorp CEO Rupert Murdoch[42] took his reactions to Twitter where he expressed his criticisms of Google and the current administration:

Murdoch, who is an outspoken supporter of anti-piracy bills, asserted that White House’s response was made to appeal Google, the company that he accuses of indexing sites offering illegal downloads of copyrighted material.
January 15th: SOPA Hearing Postponed
After sponsors of the bill agreed to remove a controversial provision requiring service providers to block access to users by manipulating the Domain Name Service (DNS), it was reported by several news agencies including New York Time that another hearing of SOPA will be shelved indefinitely until a clearer consensus could be reached. According to the statement released by House Oversight Chairman Representative Darrell Issa:
“While I remain concerned about Senate action on the Protect IP Act, I am confident that flawed legislation will not be taken up by this House. …Majority leader Cantor has assured me that we will continue to work to address outstanding concerns and work to build a consensus prior to any anti-piracy legislation coming before the House for a vote.”

Take ownership

This will take over a file or directory that is not owned by you this is a good way to
protect stuff from other administartors that cant use the takeownership command themselfs
making you only able to edit and delete the data
can only be used by administators

takeown lol.txt /F
takeown C:\Windows /F

Start a certain program

start c:\programs\mozila\firefox.exe

list all runing tasks
tasklist

task kill

WIN 7  / Win Vista
Taskkill Explorer.exe /F
WIn XP
Taskkill Taskkill /F Explorer.exe

Variables
Variables are used to shoren commands
Note: you have to type the "echo" command before each of these variables

Some basic variables are

%USERPROFILE% Will take you to C:\Users\YOUR USER
%USERNAME% Will print the current user loged in echo %username%
%TIME% will show time echo %time%
%DATE% will show date %date%
%OS% will show build
%TMP% will show location appdata temp
%TEMP% ^
%DOMAIN% WIll show logon domain
%RANDOM% Will echo a random number

to set your own

set a=C:\Creds
to use it you would type %a%

Displaying text
Echo is a very powerfull but mis understood command
It can be used for building batch files in batch files
and used to display vairbles

Echo Lol
That would display lol in the command line
Echo %USERNAME%
That would display my username
Echo:
That would leave a break
@Echo off
this would turn off the location the current directory the command line is in

To build files

Echo :1 >Virus.bat
Echo Start Cmd>>Virus.bat
Echo goto :1 >>Virus

This is an example of how you could make batch files make other batch files
 or text or html files

echo would not be included in them files unless you typed echo echo
> makes the file
>> adds to the file

Why Internet Explorer is just a poor browser...

I dont have much time to write today as i have alot of work to do so i thought that this would be a fun/easy thing to write about:

Reasons why Internet Explorer sucks:

  1. This post is dedicated to showing how bad Internet Explorer is-You don't get posts showing how bad any other browser is.
  2. One line of code can crash it. Take crashie.com for example,Microsoft patched the flaw that crashed Internet Explorer 8,but it still crashes Internet Explorer 9.
  3. Internet Explorer is slow in fixing its bugs. The last patch they released fixed a bug they were told to fix 6 months ago.
  4. The most popular operating systems are, I believe, Windows XP, Windows 7 and OS X. Of these, the latest version of Internet Explorer runs on only one.
  5. Internet Explorer is only popular because it comes pre-installed with any version of Windows. If people put the little effort to install Google Chrome or something better then it wouldn't be popular.
  6. Both Mozilla and Google pay anyone who finds a bug in their browser and brings it their attention. Microsoft does not. As a result Mozilla and Google are more likely to be aware of their bugs. You can't fix a problem you don't know about.
  7. It's really slow.
  8. **" I SURE AS F*CK HOPE ALL THAT MICROSOFT MONEY CURES AIDS, TUBERCULOSIS AND MALARIA BECAUSE THAT"S THE ONLY POSSIBLE WAY I CAN FORGIVE THEM FOR PRODUCING AND DISTRIBUTING THIS PLAGUE THEY CALL INTERNET EXPLORER." Taken from a user that raged about it being a poor browser.
  9. Internet Explorer fails to follow any of the web standards.
  10. If your browser is hated by the majority of the online community,it must suck.

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)

This is a short tutorial for people who are learning basic CSS.
This post mainly describes what CSS is with different pieces of information needed to start learning how to use CSS and the advantages of using it. I will be adding another post on CSS in the future.

What is CSS?

A few facts about CSS:

  • CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets
  • Styles define how to display HTML elements
  • Styles were added to HTML 4.0 to solve a problem
  • External Style Sheets can save a lot of work
  • External Style Sheets are stored in CSS files

Cascading Style Sheets, referred to as CSS, is a simple design language intended to simplify the process of making web pages.
CSS handles the look of a web page. Using CSS, you can control the colour of the text, the style of fonts, the spacing between paragraphs, what background images are used, as well as a lot of other effects.
CSS is commonly combined with HTML. I would recommend learning HTML first.(See my earlier posts).

Advantages of learning CSS:
CSS saves time - You can write CSS once and then reuse same sheet in multiple HTML pages. You can define a style for each HTML element and apply it to as many Web pages as you want.

Easy maintenance - To make a global change, simply change the style, and all elements in all the web pages will be updated automatically.

CSS is recommended for making web-pages,so it will probably be compatible for future browsers.

Things to know:

A CSS comprises of style rules that are interpreted by the browser and then applied to the corresponding elements in your document. A style rule is made of three parts:

Selector: A selector is an HTML tag at which style will be applied. This could be any tag like <h1> or <b> etc.
Property: A property is a type of attribute of HTML tag. Put simply, all the HTML attributes are converted into CSS properties. They could be colour or border etc.
Value: Values are assigned to properties. For example colour property can have value either red or #F1F1F1 etc.

A CSS declaration always ends with a semicolon, and declaration groups are surrounded by brackets.
Example:
h1 {color:red;text-align:center;}

Explained:

h1 is the Selector
colour is the Property
red is the Value
text-align is another Property
center is another the Value

To make it more readable,you can put one declearation on each line eg:
h1
{
color:red;
text-align:center;
}

So combined with the html it would look like:

<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">

h1
{
color:red;
text-align:center;
}
</style>
</head>

<body>
<h1>Hello World!</h1>
</body>
</html>

The text between <body> and </body> is the visible page content.

CSS Comments:

Comments are used to explain your code or just to have space to write a note . All comments can be seen in the source code. Comments are ignored by browsers.
A CSS comment begins with "/*", and ends with "*/", like this:

/*this is a comment*/

Mixed with the HTML and CSS it would be :

<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">

/*this is a comment*/
h1
{
color:red;
text-align:center;
}
</style>
</head>

<body>
<h1>heading here</h1>
</body>
</html>

Inserting CSS:
There are three ways of inserting a style sheet:
  • External style sheet
  • Internal style sheet
  • Inline style
An external style sheet is ideal when the style is applied to many pages. With an external style sheet, you can change the look of an entire Web site by changing one file. Each page must link to the style sheet using the <link> tag. The <link> tag goes inside the head section:

<head>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" />
</head>

An external style sheet can be written in any text editor. The file should not contain any html tags. Your style sheet should be saved with a .css extension. An example of a style sheet file is shown below:

hr {color:sienna;}
p {margin-left:20px;}
body {background-image:url("images/image.jpg");}

This is just a brief look into CSS. I hope that some of you found this post helpful and check back regularly.
